<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter which enables an operator to operate the catheter to insert the same into a lesion with one hand when fixing the position of an inner tube and to fix the inner tube with an arbitrary fixing force. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon catheter 1 is provided with an outer tube 2, an outer tube hub 3 fixed to the base end of the outer tube 2, the inner tube 5 movable axially in the outer tube 2 and the outer tube hub 3 and a balloon 6 attached at one end to the distal end of the outer tube 2 and attached at the other end to the distal end of the inner tube 5 and has a fixing function 4 for releasably fixing the inner tube 5 to the side part of the outer tube hub 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
