<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce damage to a game center to the minimum by preventing fraudulent use of pre-paid cards during a communication-disabled state. <P>SOLUTION: A recording media processing unit comprises an internal recording media for games installed inside the unit, a money validator, which accepts money and validates the accepted money, a processor for the internal recording media used for a game, which identifies the size of a game value according to the amount of money validated by the money validator and executes processing for the internal recording media used for a game according to the size of the game which is identified, and a communication state detector, which detects whether communication with a record management device is enabled or disabled.
