<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerable air diffusion plate capable of perfectly restoring pressure loss by baking and capable of suppressing a regeneration cost low. <P>SOLUTION: The thickness of the foaming surface 1 of the air diffusion plate is set to 10-20 mm which is thinner than before and the air diffusion plate increased in pressure loss is baked to perfectly burn off SS. In place of coating the outer peripheral part of the air diffusion plate with a foaming preventing paint as is conventional, the filling density of the outer peripheral part is made higher than that of the central foaming part of the air diffusion plate or the outer peripheral part is impregnated with a vitreous material to be made lower than the central foaming part in air permeability.
