PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an articulating hemiarthroplasty prosthesis for blocking implanting of a polyethylene worn powder into an acetabulum by blocking a screw hole of an acetabulum constituting part. SOLUTION: The articulating hemiarthroplasty prosthesis comprises a cup for engagement with a human body. The cup has a portion having a reduced thickness to permit at least a portion of the cup to be mechanically separated from the cup to form an opening through the cup. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
