The dispenser consists of a cover (200) with a centering ring (230) on its underside, designed to fit in a sink outlet cavity (110). The cover has an aperture and supports an element (700) containing or holding a treatment product that is delivered into the outlet pipe by the flow of water through it. The treatment product can be in the form of a solid block in a filter basket, or a liquid substance in a reservoir connected to the cover by a rod.
