Sheath for multifilamentary superconductor cable and manufacturing process thereof

摘要

A sheath for a multi-filament high temperature superconductor cable consists of a tube (10) of which the multi-layer wall incorporates: (a) an internal layer of pure silver (12, 16, 22); (b) at least one second layer of a silver based alloy (14, 18, 24, 26). An Independent claim is also included for a method for the fabrication of a sheath for a multi-filament superconductor cable.
