CHARGING DEVICE FOR ROTARY HEARTH FURNACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device for a rotary hearth furnace which can charge a bulked material uniformly into the furnace without changing the rotating speed thereof. SOLUTION: The charging device is disposed above the rotary hearth furnace 2 producing a reduced bulked material from the bulked material of an iron oxide with a heating-reducing zone shifted. Receiving the bulked material of the iron oxide on one side and discharging it on the other side, the device charges it into the furnace through a charging opening part thereof. The side of reception of the bulked material of the iron oxide of the charging device 1 is fitted pivotally to a shaft 6 provided above the furnace 2, while the side of discharge of the bulked material is set on a circular-arc rail 7 rotating around the shaft 6. The shaft 6 is provided at a position where the distance of movement of the discharge side of the charging device 1 becomes larger as this side moves more from the inner peripheral side of the furnace 2 to the outer peripheral side thereof.
