METHOD FOR ERASING INFORMATION ON MAGNETIC DISK AND DEVICE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device which are capable of erasing the information on a magnetic disk easily, momentarily and perfectly demonstrate a stable effect prior to disusing the information-recorded magnetic disk. SOLUTION: A direct current magnetic field is applied in the direction horizontal to the disk surface on the magnetic disk. Then the magnetic disk moves away from the surface on the disk horizontally. Thereby the information- recorded surface on the magnetic disk can be transferred in the horizontal magnetic field and the information can be erased instantaneously, stably and completely.
