摘要 |
A biaxially oriented, flame-retardant film comprises crystallizable thermoplastic and flame retardant(s), and has a conductive coating. The film has a thickness of 0.5-12 mum, an alternating current tracking resistance of at least 200 kV/mm and a surface roughness (Ra) of at most 150 nm. An Independent claim is also included for manufacture of biaxially oriented film by: (a) extruding crystallizable thermoplastic and flame retardant to give a flat melt film, (b) quenching the film, (c) drawing off resultant amorphous film for solidification on roll(s), (d) biaxially stretching and heat-setting the film, (e) cooling and winding the film up and (f) providing the film with a conductive coating.
