METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE IN HOT ROLLING MILL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for controlling temperature in a hot rolling mill for converging finishing temperature rapidly to the target temperature and achieving stable rolling when adjusting the finishing temperature of a rolled stock by adjusting rolling speed.

SOLUTION: A temperature controller 10 has a constitution including: a means 11 of measuring the amount of rolling travel for measuring the rolling time of a rolled stock Z which is rolled while passing through rolling stands F; a temperature measuring means 12 for obtaining the actual temperature of the rolled stock Z which is measured with a temperature sensor T; and a rolling speed adjusting means 13 for adjusting the rolling speed in the rolling stands F on the basis of the temperature informed from the temperature measuring means 12 and the speed necessary to change unit temperature previously determined for every material of the rolled stock Z.
