PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an upright vacuum cleaner which is easy to use since the whole weight balance of it is good. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a sucking port body 10 for taking dust and a vacuum cleaner main body 20 arranged on the upper side of this sucking port body 10. The main body 20 is provided with a cyclone separation chamber 24a for separating the dust sucked from the sucking port body 10 by a cyclone style. An electric blower 27 and a battery pack (power source body) 28 for supplying power to this blower 27 are provided at positions lower than the upper end part 24b of this cyclone separation chamber 24a.
