PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate display irregularity in the periphery of a display region caused by external force without providing a dummy electrode or the like in a non-display region of especially a full dot display type liquid crystal display element having a liquid crystal layer with a memory capability. SOLUTION: Electrode widths of outermost side row electrodes 10f and 10e which are located at both ends of a row electrode group 10 and electrode widths of outermost side column electrodes 20f and 20e which are located at both ends of a column electrode group 20 are respectively made wider than the electrode widths of other inner side electrodes provided between the electrodes 10f and 10e, and 20f and 20e.
