METHOD FOR FORMING COMBINED LAYER COATING FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a combined layer coating film capable of forming the combined layer coating film having a good finishing appearance and comprising a cation electrodeposition coating film layer and an intermediate coating film layer by one baking step. SOLUTION: This method for forming the combined layer coating film comprises a step (1) for coating an object to be coated with a cation electrodeposition coating material and forming an electrodeposition uncured coating film without heating/curing; a step (2) for coating the electrodeposition uncured coating film formed by the step (1) with a water base intermediate coating material to form an intermediate uncured coating film; and a step (3) for simultaneously heating/curing the combined layer uncured coating film formed by the step (1) and the step (2). The water base intermediate coating material contains a block isocyanate polymer compound having a molecular weigh of 800-2,000 as a curing agent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
