PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device capable of dispensing with the drive for holding attitude of a movable base. SOLUTION: The movable base 22 is provided in a free end part of an arm body 23 provided on a base 21 in a basic end part so as to elongate, shrink, and retract freely. The arm body 23 is elongated, shrunk, and driven by a drive means 24 to displace the movable base 22 in order to convey an object to be conveyed. The arm body 23 is constituted by connecting in substantially rhombus shape using each gear 38, 39, 57, 58 so that each arm part 44, 46 operate symmetrically in synchronization and in the interlocking relationship in order to hold the movable base 22 at fixed attitude when elongating and shrinking. Moreover, a fixation avoid means 100 is provided to avoid fixation of the arm body 23 at a neutral position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
