PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid breakage of a linear guide block or a guide rail even when a large mold clamping force is received without structurally complicating the linear guide block or the guide rail or enlarging it. SOLUTION: A movable platen supporting apparatus has a movable platen 11 provided with a mold mounting face 16, a platen supporting material 14 provided with the linear guide block 17 sliding along the guide rail 28, and a connecting member 15 for connecting the movable platen 11 with the platen supporting member 14.
