PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for manufacturing a woody building material which effectively reduces a dissipating quantity of an indoor air staining substance such as a formaldehyde, a VOC or the like. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the woody building material for reducing the dissipating quantity of the indoor air staining substance comprises the humidifying step of enhancing a water content of at least a woody base plate, and the heating step of accelerating to dissipate the substance contained in the woody base plate in which the water content is raised.
