PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a predetermined water level by detecting accurate water levels during the drainage even with larger variations in the water level. SOLUTION: A therapeutic apparatus is constituted of a water tank 3 for storing hot water made up of a side wall 4 and a bottom wall 5, a drain pipe 13 connected to the water tank, a guide pipe 15 linked to the bottom wall of the water tank independent of the drain pipe and a pressure type water level sensor 16 mounted on the guide pipe. Even when water flows or vortexes occur in the water tank associated with drainages, the water level sensor can detect accurate water levels completely free from any effects thereof.
