PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chair type massager capable of massaging both shoulder parts in the same way regardless of the positional difference of both shoulder parts of a human body. SOLUTION: A pair of massage units 22L and 22R individually matching with both shoulders of the human body sit down on a chair main body to be independent each other are provided to the upper part of the backrest 4 of the chair main body. Both massage units 22L and 22R are equipped with massage elements 32 comprising air bags applying massage force to the shoulder parts of the human body sit down on the chair main body. Air bags (height position adjusting means) for individually altering the height positions of both massage units 22L and 22R are provided to the backrest. The massage unit 22L and 22R are individually moved by the expansion of the height position adjusting air bags to fit the massage elements 32 for left and right shoulders to the height positions of both shoulders of the human body and the massage elements 32 are expanded and contracted to give a massage.
