PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and inexpensively suppress collapse of natural ground and ground subsidence, which may occur in the approximately linear formation of a tunnel, a drift and the like. SOLUTION: In a process in which a hole is excavated in an approximately linear manner by using a shield machine 10, a filler 3, in which clay and specific gravity are adjusted, it injected from the shield machine 10 into an outbreak part 2 between the shield machine 10 and the hole. In this case, the volume of the outbreak part 2 is calculated, for example, from an outer shape D of the shield machine 10, a length L thereof, a pitching angleθthereof, a yawing angle thereof and other driving conditions, so that an injection speed of the filler 3 can be determined according to the volume of the outbreak part 2. Furthermore, for example, the shield machine 10 is precedently provided with a plurality of pressure gauges 14; and the injection speed of the filler 3 is determined according to filling pressure of the filler 3, which is detected by the pressure gauges 14.
