PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing plate exposure device which realizes a function for preventing the recovery of wastes made by punching from being forgotten with inexpensive constitution and further whose appearance is not spoiled. SOLUTION: An accumulation box 16 is provided on the inside of an opening/ closing door for maintenance care 14 of the printing plate exposure device 10. A chute 42 is laid over between the box 16 and a punching device 24. When the punching device 24 punches a hole on a printing plate 34, the wastes made by punching 40 slip down through the chute 42 and are accumulated in the box 16. Since the box 16 is provided in the door 14, there is little possibility that the recovery of the wastes 40 is forgotten in the case of maintenance care. Therefore, a monitor for monitoring an accumulated state need not be installed, and the function for preventing the recovery of the wastes 40 from being forgotten is realized with the inexpensive constitution. Since the box 16 and the chute 42 are housed inside the cover 12 of the device 10, the appearance of the entire device is not spoiled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
