PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for optical fiber bundling, which fix optical fibers at desired intervals without being influenced by variance in external diameter among individual optical fibers nor causing any decrease in productivity resulting from the use of spacers, etc., when an optical fiber bundle is manufactured, and an optical information transmission device. SOLUTION: Provided are a cylindrical bundling member 2 which has one continuous spiral groove 3 on its outer circumferential surface, a rotary driving means 5, an optical fiber supply means 10, and an optical fiber holding means 11; while respective optical fibers extended between the optical fiber supply means and optical fiber holding means are fitted in respective groove parts 3a, the bundling member is rotated in one direction to move the respective fibers in one axial direction along the respective groove parts, thus bundling the optical fibers while equalizing the pitch of the optical fibers to the axial pitch of the groove parts.
