PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target tracking device and its method capable of obtaining high tracking performance. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a motion model controlling means for determining the number of motion models having target acceleration of a sine wave and a constant acceleration frequency to be set for the motion models, and a motion parameter estimating means for estimating motion parameters such as relative position, relative velocity, acceleration, acceleration frequency, of the target, by calculating posterior probability of each motion model by the use of a plurality of Kalman filters each having a motion model.
