PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear view mirror device for an automobile returning to the original angle position accurately even if the mirror face is turned repetitively. SOLUTION: The rear view mirror device includes a stepping motor 2 rotating accurately in conformity to pulse signals for changing the angle of the mirror face in the vertical direction, wherein the revolving speed of the motor 2 is controlled accurately by a microcomputer (control means) 6.
