<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for monitoring a light emitting diode (LED) in a print bar. <P>SOLUTION: In the system for monitoring the light emitting diode (LED) in the print bar, a photosensor 236 is built in a printer or the print bar itself. The photosensor 236 detects the reduction of the intensity of the LED 212 in the print bar as the print bar is being deteriorated so that a driver circuit 204 for supplying a power to each LED 212 can be calibrated again. The calibrated output power of each of the driver circuits 204 compensates the non-uniform LEDs 212 due to the deterioration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
