<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for adjusting the height of a pillow in the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided at a part of a bed so as to be movable in the vertical direction and is provided with a base plate 7 for placing the pillow at the upper part thereof, and a mechanism 9 for moving the base plate 7 in the vertical direction. The mechanism 9 for moving the base plate 7 in the vertical direction is provided with a threaded shaft 11 which can reversely be rotated, a pair of threaded rings 12, 12 which are screwed to the threaded shaft 11 and moves on the threaded shaft 11 by following the rotation of the threaded shaft 11, and ascending and descending arms 13, 13 which are provided between the respective threaded rings 12 and the base plate 7 and between the respective threaded rings 12 and the bed 1 and ascend and descend the base plate 7 by enlarging or narrowing the interval between the arms 13, 13 through ascending and descending the base plate 7 due to following the movement of the threaded rings 12, 12. The base plate 7 is moved up and down by the cooperation of the threaded shaft 11, the threaded rings 12, and the ascending and descending arms 13, thus the position of the pillow placed on the upper part of the base plate 7 can be adjusted in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
