<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximally develop a microbial decomposition capacity to decompose liquid and solid oils and fats, another organic matter, or the like, over a wide temperature range and to keep an excellent cleaning treatment capacity over a long period of time, in a wastewater cleaning apparatus utilizing microorganisms capable of decomposing oils and fats. <P>SOLUTION: The wastewater cleaning apparatus comprises a septic tank for taking in wastewater containing oils and fats and a stirring device arranged in the septic tank. Aerobic microorganisms capable of decomposing oils and fats are housed in the septic tank and the stirring device is equipped with a suction pipe for sucking wastewater in the septic tank, a discharge pipe for discharging wastewater sucked from the suction pipe and a pump for transferring wastewater from the suction pipe to the discharge pipe. The suction pipe is opened to the region slightly under the water level of the wastewater in the septic tank and the discharge pipe is opened above the water level of the wastewater in the septic tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
