PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gene dry powder which has high stability and high gene expression efficiency, to provide a method for preparing the same, and to provide an apparatus for preparing the gene dry powder. SOLUTION: This method for preparing the gene dry powder comprises simultaneously charging carbon dioxide and an auxiliary solvent such as ethanol into a carbon dioxide/auxiliary solvent mixing column to obtain the supercritical carbon dioxide/ auxiliary solvent mixture liquid in the column, supplying the supercritical carbon dioxide/auxiliary solvent mixture liquid from the carbon dioxide/auxiliary solvent mixing column to a fine particle-producing column in a supercritical state, simultaneously supplying water from a water-supplying source to the fine particle-producing column, stabilizing the preparation apparatus, injecting and pouring a gene solution containing the complexes of plasmid genes with a polycation such as chitosan and an excipient such as mannitol from a gene solution injection port into the carbon dioxide/auxiliary solvent mixture liquid, thereby extracting water contained in the gene solution with the carbon dioxide/auxiliary solvent mixture liquid, and accumulating the left plasmid gene-polycation complex and the excipient in the fine particle-producing column as the dry powder.
