PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely safe pair of scissors for even schoolchildren to use by definitely preventing the opening of the blade body and that can easily cut even thick papers and can also cut an elastic tape without any risk and easily rip off the cut piece from the guiding surface. SOLUTION: The pair of scissors that can undo the blade edge parts 10, 11 of the tip parts placed face to face with each other when the blade parts are in a closed position and can lay on one another the tip part of the blade part is provided with hooking means 14, 15 for maintaining the overlapping position. Another component is the means provided to at least one side of the guiding surfaces of the blade part that faces in the traveling direction when both blades are in closed position for easy peeling off the cut piece of an elastic tape adhered to the guiding surface when cutting the elastic tape.
