<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable apparatus for removing ethylene by solving the problem that conventional apparatus are used for industrial postharvests such as equipped with shelves and for large-sized storehouses, therefore are unusable domestically. SOLUTION: This portable apparatus for removing ethylene includes a circuit 3 connected to a battery box 2 and functioning to raise the voltage of the battery, electrodes 4 connected to the circuit 2 and functioning to generate ozone by electric discharge, a suction port 20 through which a suction is made from the outside, an ethylene oxidation chamber 5 where the ethylene taken in via the suction port 20 is oxidized by the ozone generated from the electrodes 4 into ethylene oxide, a catalyst chamber 6 where the ethylene oxide produced in the chamber 5 is decomposed by a catalyst, an exhaust port 21 for making an exhaust into the outside, and a fan 7 functioning to generate air flow which makes a suction via the port 20 into the chamber 5 and then makes an exhaust from the chamber 6 via the port 21.</p> |
