<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect metamorphopsia without omission by a simple testing method. <P>SOLUTION: In this metamorphopsia testing chart 1, a plurality of straight lines are arranged to form square grids formed into a grid pattern by displaying vertical and lateral straight lines at each degree of visual angle in a range through visual angles of 20° each in the vertical direction and in the lateral direction from a fixed visual mark 2 in the center, and with the chart, when a retina is deformed by edema or the like, an image projected on the retina is distorted, a straight line is seen distorted. A subject looks at the testing chart 1 in the vertical direction from the front of the fixed visual mark 2 by one eye each to check whether or not there is a point seen distorted and the degree of distortion. Thus, metamorphopsia is diagnosed.
