PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seamless single-layer belt hard to generate outward warpage even in the case of a diameter of 100 mm or more and excellent in flatness, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the seamless single-layer belt with a diameter of 100 mm or more includes a process for centrifugally molding a solution of a precursor of a polyimide resin on the inner surface of a cylindrical mold to obtain a precursor belt dried and solidified until a self-supporting state can be obtained and subsequently replacing the precursor belt with a support having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the precursor belt and heat-treating the precursor belt to imidate the same. After the precursor belt is replaced with the support, the belt is shrunk by 4-10% in its width direction by heat treatment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
