PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form embossing grooves in the longitudinal and width directions while floating or break of a surface sheet is being prevented in an absorptive article in which the embossing grooves in the longitudinal and width directions are formed and high compression parts and low compression parts are alternately arranged at the bottom surfaces of these embossing grooves in the longitudinal direction of the groove. SOLUTION: When a line crossing the embossing grooves 5, 6 in the width direction is drawn, the lengths of parts where this line contacts with the high compression parts 12 are totalized on the crossing line and the totalized line length is defined as a contact line length. The difference between the maximum value SHmax of the contact line length in an area H where the embossing grooves 6 in the width direction exist and the maximum value SVmax of the contact line length in an area V where the embossing grooves 5 in the longitudinal direction exist is adjusted to≤5 mm. The adjustment is carried out by either of intervals, widths or curvatures of the high compression parts 12 formed in the embossing grooves 6 in the width direction or a combination thereof.
