In a process to manufacture cigarette filter tips a feed of suitable fibres is surrendered to a fibre separating assembly. The fibres are then surrendered as a continual sprinkle feed onto a conveyer forming a continual fleece mass. The fibre separating assembly incorporates a cylindrical separator brush that rotates about an axis. Also claimed is a commensurate assembly.
