PURPOSE: A method for preparing a vinyl chloride-based resin is provided, to improve the fluidity of plastisol by reducing reaction time and increasing the content of small particles having a diameter of 0.45 micrometers or less and the dispersion of a foaming agent, thereby enhancing foaming velocity and foaming whiteness. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of preparing a vinyl chloride-based seed with a particle size distribution of 0.005-0.03 micrometers; and microsuspension polymerizing monomers by using a mixture comprising the obtained seed, a vinyl chloride monomer, an initiator comprising an oil-soluble reaction initiator and a water-soluble reaction initiator, an alkyl sulfate-based emulsifier and sodium hydroxide with continuously adding a water-soluble polymerization initiator during polymerization. The obtained foamed vinyl chloride-based resin has a particle size distribution of 0.1-5.5 micrometers and contains 20-30 % of small particles having a diameter of 0.45 micrometers or less.
