POWER ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE

A power electrical enclosure includes a portion into which substantially pla nar assemblies can be slidably inserted and a portion in which power components can be conventionally mounted to one or more walls of the enclosure. The assemblies include power electrical components and/or connections which are mounted to one surface of the assembly to effectively use the volume within the enclosure. A heat sink can be provi ded on one or more assemblies and thermally connected to components thereon. An aperture i s provided through the enclosure such that the heat sink extends outside of the enclosu re when the assembly is inserted, thus permitting passive radiation of waste heat outsid e of the enclosure. The enclosure is believed to be particularly suitable for use with industria l manufacturing equipment such as injection molding machines and the like.
