PURPOSE: A control method of an ABS(anti-lock brake system) by detecting over voltage is provided to prevent accidents in braking suddenly by restricting stop of the anti-lock brake system from over or abnormal voltage, and to improve convenience by automatically returning with periodic detecting signals after detecting over voltage. CONSTITUTION: Normal operation of an ABS is checked in turning on an ignition switch, and a counter for counting the number of over voltage is initialized(S10,S20). Normal operation of the ABS is detected in not generating over voltage(S40), and the ABS is turned on in operating the ABS abnormally(S60). The ignition switch is detected to be turned off in normally operating the ABS(S50), and a timer is operated to output a signal for detecting the ABS periodically in turning on the ignition switch(S70). The execution of the ABS is decided through self-diagnosis in generating over voltage.
