PURPOSE: To provide the subject small-sized, highly safe device capable of efficiently shrinking used expanded polystyrene. CONSTITUTION: This device has a charge port 1 for charging expanded polystyrene, an expanded polystyrene-crushing section 2, a dissolving tank 3 where crushed expanded polystyrene is dissolved in d-limonene, a recovery tank 4 as a means for recovering the expanded polystyrene solution produced in the dissolving tank 3, a pump 7 as a means for feeding a d-limonene stock liquor to the dissolving tank, and a limonene tank 8. The volume of used expanded polystyrene is reduced by dissolving it in d-limonene. |
