PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator excellent in mechanical strength and long-term stability for one consisting of graphite powder molded body obtained through pressure molding of graphite powder blended with resin. SOLUTION: A reinforcing plate 17 of a metal thin plate shape with coolant flow path grooves 15 for the coolant to flow in is structured by being laminated on one face of a graphite powder molded body 16 formed through pressure molding of graphite powder blended with resin in a given separator shape. In a separator 4 of such a structure, mechanical strength is improved by the reinforcing plate 17, and, since coolant flowing through the coolant flow path grooves 15 will not come in touch with the graphite powder molded body 16, there is no fear of resin being degraded caused by exposure of the graphite powder molded body to an alkali coolant, whereby, overall superb anti-corrosion properties are stably maintained. |
