PURPOSE: A MIME(Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) encoding method for a mobile communication system is provided to enhance the use efficiency of a wireless channel by performing an MIME encoding in an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) server of the mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: If an MMS terminal transmits a multimedia message, in which an MIME encoding is not performed, to another terminal(S101,S102), an MMS server receives the multimedia message, and performs the MIME encoding of the received multimedia message with reference to a header portion of the multimedia message(S103). The MMS server transmits the multimedia message, in which the MIME encoding is performed, to the corresponding terminal(S104-S109). |
