PURPOSE: Provided is a concrete admixture, which maintains suitable flow property and air-entraining capability of a fresh concrete, has excellent cement dispersion, and gives high slump retention performance. CONSTITUTION: The concrete admixture comprises 60-90 wt% of lignosulfonate, polynaphthalene sulfonate or a mixture thereof, and 10-40 wt% of liquor generated from a process for the fermentation of monosodium glutamate(MSG) as a by-product and having a pH of 6-8. Particularly, the liquor has been subjected to ammonia deaeration treatment. The concrete admixture optionally further comprises oxyethylene/oxypropylene block copolymer.
