The invention relates to a sealing method which is used inside a hollow structure (1) with a mastic-type bonding material (11). The inventive method comprises the following steps: (a) a mobile infrared radiation (IR) source is provided, (b) a bead (8) of bonding material is used to connect the structural parts (3, 4) along the length of the section of leakage path (5), and (c) the IR source (6) is positioned inside the hollow structure (1) so as to illuminate the bead (8) of bonding material. Said method is characterised in that it consists in: (i) detecting (using f) the operating temperature (T1) at approximately the centre of the IR light beam (9), and (ii) detecting an effective temperature (T2) in a pilot zone at the bead (8) in order to control the IR radiation emission time (D) according to the effective temperature detected (T2), in relation to the thermosetting characteristics of the bonding material (M). |
