PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid soiling inside an image forming device and the deterioration of an image forming state by surely preventing the developer from being leaked at both ends in the shaft direction of a developing roller. SOLUTION: A developing end seal 46 fit in a recessed part 42 formed on the wall surface 41 of a developing device 8 about on both ends in the shaft direction of the developing roller 43 near the upper end of an entrance seal member 84 and near the lower end of a doctor blade 85 in the peripheral surface direction of the roller 43, so that the sealing performance at both ends in the shaft direction of the roller 43 at an aperture part 86 is enhanced. A north 42a is formed in the center part of the side surface of the recessed part 42 on the inside in the shaft direction of the roller 43. The width 41a of the upper and the lower ends of the recessed part 42 in the shaft direction of the roller 43 is made narrower than the width 46a of the seal 46. The vicinities of the upper and the lower ends of the seal 46 fit in the recessed part 42 are more strongly compressed and deformed in comparison with the center part, and pressed to the inside surface of the recessed part 42 by stronger restoring force than at the center part. |
