PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic latent image developing device in which a developer thickness regulating plate can be easily attached from the front-side opening part of a developing housing. SOLUTION: This electrostatic latent image developing device is provided with the developing housing whose front side is opened, a developer applying means disposed at the front end of the developing housing, and the developer thickness regulating plate to regulate developer held on the outer peripheral surface of the developer applying means to a specified thickness. The developing housing is equipped with a mount wall which is provided between both side walls above the developer applying means and to which the developer thickness regulating plate is attached and a guide rail extended nearly horizontally from the front end on the inner surfaces of both side walls and having a specified gap between the mount wall and the guide rail. The developer thickness regulating plate consists of a horizontal part and a vertical part, and guiding grooves fit to the guide rail are formed at both ends of the vertical part. The developer thickness regulating plate moves in a state where the guiding groove is fit to the guide rail and drops through the gap when the vertical part reaches the gap, and the lower end of the vertical part is placed on a supporting part provided on a bearing member to support the developer applying means or a supporting part provided between both side walls. |
