SUBSTANCE: bipolar electrode designed for use in magnesium electrolyzer to produce magnesium and chlorine has anode part of graphite bars, cathode part of sheet steel, and bolted joint. Electrode is provided with copper spacer fitted between anode and cathode parts and copper or aluminum studs driven in anode part on cathode-part end.
