FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle brakes. Proposed brake mechanism contains brake shoes, brake races and hub. Through vent channels are uniformly spaced over circumference from hub to disk rim, said channels being formed by cross partitions in form of blades. Blades are similarly tilted backwards relative to direction of disk rotation. Each second blade is shorter than first long blade, being spaced from hub by section cut off by perpendicular dropped from point of intersection of blade middle line with outer generatrix of hub of first long blade onto middle line of following long blade. Blades can be flat or curved. Inlet and outlet angles of flat blade setting are found from equation cosbeta2 = (R1/R2).cosbeta1and for curved blades, from equation ctgϕ = {R2-R1.cos(beta1+beta2)}/R1.sin(beta1+beta2). Invention provides effective cooling of brake disk, thus protecting it from untimely wear. EFFECT: provision of rational use of disk brake. 3 cl, 5 dwg
