FIELD: lubricants. SUBSTANCE: composition for use as lubricating fluid in mechanical engineering, metalworking, mining, oil and gas industry contains 0.01 to 20% humates, 0.5 to 33% organomineral complex, and water. Preparation of composition comprises heat treatment of biogenic wastes followed by adding alkali to pH 9.5, sharply reducing pressure according to "vapor explosion" system, oxidizing thermal destruction products with air oxygen, and recovering humate-containing fraction, provided that separation of water-insoluble precipitate from mixture is performed with the aid of cation-exchange flocculants.
