FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tower cranes and it is designed use in butt joints of chords of crane tower. Proposed butt joint includes chords of sections to be connected, each being made outer and inner eyes secured on ends of chords, and connecting members fitted in holes of eyes. Connecting members are made with beveled surfaces arranged for interaction. Connecting members are interfastened by special device. Outer surfaces of connecting members and surfaces of eye holes in contact with connecting members are arranged in parallel and are made straight-line.
