PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for receiving digital broadcasting are provided to selectively output program information received by the changed channel when supplying power or changing channel. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(120) stores program guide data extracted from broadcasting signals. A channel sensing unit(132) senses a change of a receiving channel receiving the broadcasting signals. A display information generating unit(150) generates program information related to programs received through the receiving channel changed based on the program guide data according to display items in the case of changing the receiving channel. A display unit(190) outputs the program information according to a predetermined display method.
