CEILING TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to improve draining performance by efficiently and rapidly collecting and discharging condensed water. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a case(10) mounted in a ceiling, and having an inlet(11) and an outlet(12) formed on a bottom thereof to be connected with a room; a fan(20) mounted in the case near the outlet, and including a rear guide(22) and a stabilizer(23) forming a channel for air to be discharged so as to introduce and discharge indoor air; a heat exchanger(30) mounted in the case near the inlet so as to cool the introduced indoor air; and a drain pan(40) installed on a lower end of the heat exchanger to collect condensed air generated during heat exchange. An end of the drain pan on inlet side is formed to be inclined. The heat exchanger is installed to be inclined toward the inlet by fixed angle(theta), preferably 50-60 deg. An inclined part on the end of the drain pan is inclined in a direction same with inclination of the heat exchanger. Length(D) of the inclined part of the end of the drain pan is less than 50mm.
