RELIABILITY MODEL BASED COPY COUNT CORRECTION FOR PREDICTIVE DIAGNOSTICS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a system down-time of a machine without any unnecessary costs resulting from too early replacement nor too late replacement by using an improved method for accurately judging and monitoring a fatigue characteristics in a complicated system.

SOLUTION: The system comprises a stage of increasing a nominal counter by a nominal count by cycles of a document processing system and a stage of generating a weighted count by multiplying the nominal count by at least one weighting factor. Then, a stage of summing the nominal count and weighted count in one or more supplementary diagnostic counters is provided thereafter.
